Job 36:17-26 Inner Vision

Job 36:17-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 36 in context

Scripture Focus

17But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
18Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
19Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
20Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
22Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
23Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
24Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
25Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
26Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Job 36:17-26

Biblical Context

The verse presents that your actions reflect a wicked judgment, and worldly wealth can't save you from wrath. It urges turning away from iniquity and acknowledging God's unmatched power, wisdom, and mystery.

Neville's Inner Vision

These lines invite you to see your life as a mirror of consciousness. The 'judgment of the wicked' is the natural outpouring of a state you entertain inwardly; when you fear loss or glory in wealth, you are spiritually impoverished, and the stroke of wrath appears as your own mental motion. But God exalteth by his power—who can teach like Him? The answer is: you can learn from within. There is no other teacher but the I AM you call yourself. Remember that you magnify His works by your attention; what you behold in the world is only the visible form of your hidden assumptions. You may think the years and numbers belong to God outside, yet they are the measure of your inner vivacity, your capacity to know what cannot be counted. Therefore, refuse to chase night or rely on riches; instead, revise any belief in limitation and rest in the certainty that divine order governs you. When you assume the state of being already in harmony with God, you awaken to a life that reflects that truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the state 'I AM in divine order now' and feel the security of that inner conviction as if it were your present reality. Revise any sense of lack or fear until your outer life confirms the inner truth.
