Righteousness Revisited Within You

Job 35:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 35 in context

Scripture Focus

2Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?
3For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
4I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
Job 35:2-4

Biblical Context

Job questions whether his own righteousness is greater than God's and wonders what profit comes from cleansing sin. He then promises to answer the others in the dialogue.

Neville's Inner Vision

Righteousness here is not a badge you wear over God but a state of consciousness you identify with. The line 'My righteousness is more than God's' is the ego arguing for separation, a belief you can revise. In truth, the I AM God within already is the righteousness you seek. To revise, enter the posture: 'God's righteousness is mine now' not as a judgment on others but as the alignment of your inner eye with the one who is always right in you. When the verse asks 'What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?' you answer within: purification is alignment with the I AM, not a moral score. Do a quick feeling-it-real: softly affirm 'God's righteousness is mine now' and sense your inner world settle into unity. The 'I will answer thee' becomes your inner God answering your own thoughts, dissolving self-importance and inviting humility and discernment.

Practice This Now

Assume the stance—'God's righteousness is mine now.' Revise the ego's claim to separation by affirming, 'I am the I AM in action now,' and feel that unity settle in.
