Unmasking Self-Righteousness Within

Job 35:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 35 in context

Scripture Focus

2Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?
Job 35:2

Biblical Context

The verse challenges the idea that one's own righteousness could surpass God's.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine your righteousness as a state of mind you wear like a garment. In truth, the one who claims superiority over God is simply a mind clinging to a story of worth. Here the I AM within you is the sole source of reality. The verse invites you to test that thought: whose righteousness is this you carry? When you accept that all righteousness flows from the I AM, you dissolve separation and the sense of being apart from God. Your experiences do not prove you are right; your inner assumption creates your world. The moment you revise that claim to act as if you are the righteousness of God here and now, you align with the infinite. The shift is not in changing facts, but in changing what you assume to be true about you. Live from the awareness that you are I AM, and you will meet every circumstance as a manifestation of divine wholeness rather than a contest of personal merit.

Practice This Now

Assume the statement I am the righteousness of God within me for five minutes, and feel it real by repeating I AM and recognizing your oneness with God. When doubt arises, revise the thought to I AM as the source of true righteousness.
