Inner Recompense by Your Choice

Job 34:33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 34 in context

Scripture Focus

33Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
Job 34:33

Biblical Context

Recompense is determined by the inner state and choices of the individual; the verse notes that reward comes from within, not from another's word, so you must speak from your own knowing.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your life is not at the mercy of men or outer events, but of the state you preside over in consciousness. When the verse asks, 'Should it be according to thy mind?' it points to the I AM that chooses. God is not an external judge; God is your awareness, the ever-present me that either refuses or embraces a given end. Recompense, then, is the natural result of the inner assumption you entertain. If you cling to a story of lack or limitation, the outer world will return that echo. If you revise that story—choose a different end, and feel it as already done—you awaken the law of return: not I, but your inner self, will repay. Therefore speak what you know from within, not from fear or habit. The \"I\" that knows the truth is the same 'I' that experiences the world as would a new state. Align your mind with the end you desire, and the outer sign will follow.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the end you desire as already done; feel it in your body and mind until the conviction is vivid. Then speak from that inner state, 'I am,' and let the outer world reflect your maintained assumption.
