Job 33:14-16

Biblical Context

God speaks, sometimes more than once, yet man often does not hear. He speaks in dreams and night visions, opening ears and delivering instruction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Job's words are not histories to be studied but keys to your own interior listening. God here is the I AM you awaken to as awareness, the eternal whisper that speaks through your life. The line God speaketh once, yea twice suggests that the signal comes again until you tune your instrument. When the mind is still, when the days chatter sinks into sleep, the dream and the vision of the night become the channels by which consciousness can hear itself. In that quiet, the ears of man are opened, and instruction is poured into your awareness; not from outside, but from the deep, unchanging presence within. The instruction is sealed until you revise your belief about what is possible, until you assume that you are already guided, that the night is not darkness but a classroom opened by your own inner I AM. Your waking life will reflect the revisions you have silently accepted. Remember: you are not seeking God; you are waking to God as your own consciousness, and imagination is the instrument by which these inner messages become visible and lived.

Practice This Now

Tonight, affirm quietly before sleep that you are hearing God within you now. Then rest and upon waking, record any impression as if it came from inner guidance.
