Crying After the Inner Thief

Job 30:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 30 in context

Scripture Focus

5They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)
Job 30:5

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of people driven out from among men and cried after like thieves, depicting a harsh sense of exile and judgment.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the Neville Goddard sense, the driven forth are not external enemies but movements within your own consciousness. Exile represents parts of you you have deemed unacceptable, and the thief is the fear-based belief that a portion of your power must be hidden to be safe. The cry after them is the reflex of your awareness chasing away what you refuse to own. Yet the inward truth remains: all these figures dwell within the same I AM, the indivisible awareness that you are. The healing is a deliberate reversal: claim the exiled parts as your own and restore them to the wholeness of your being. Assume a state of unity where no aspect of your mind is banished, where every impulse and impulse-quell is welcomed by your consciousness. When you realign with this inclusivity, exile becomes a signal to reintegrate, the thief loses charge, and you stand in a complete, fearless presence. You are not at the mercy of others’ judgments but the sovereign I AM reclaiming every fragment of self.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state 'I AM' welcoming every part of me. Visualize the exiled aspects returning to my inner circle and affirm, 'You are safe in my I AM,' until a sense of wholeness settles.
