Loosed Cords, Inner Calamities

Job 30:11-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 30 in context

Scripture Focus

11Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
12Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
13They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
Job 30:11-13

Biblical Context

Job 30:11-13 presents a scene where old restraints are loosened and calamity presses in. He describes being pressed by new forces and left without help.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Neville's view, the cords loosed and the bridle removed are not external chains but states of consciousness you have chosen to believe. The 'youth' rising on the right hand are fresh thoughts or imaginal forces you have welcomed into awareness; the push against your feet and the paths of destruction are the fear-dominated movements of your old self as it resists the change you desire. The marred path and forward calamity reveal the belief that you are at the mercy of circumstance; but the line 'they have no helper' points to the truth that all power is within your I AM. By turning to the inner consciousness and acting as though you already possess the freedom, you become the cause rather than the effect. Hold to the conviction: I AM the source of my own reality, and through imaginative revision I restore order, choose a new path, and invite alignment with your desired state. Use the assumption until it feels true; let the feeling of liberty fill every corner of your awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat 'I AM free' until a vivid sense of liberty fills you. Then imagine stepping onto a new path, unbound by fear, and let the scene declare the life you intend.
