Robe of Righteousness Within
Job 29:14-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 29 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Job presents righteousness as a robe and diadem worn by the speaker. The verses also show acts of sight, aid to the vulnerable, and the breaking of wickedness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Suppose righteousness is not a mere rule you wear, but the very aura of consciousness you assume. When Job says I put on righteousness, see it as I AM clothing itself in clarity, so that my judgments wear a robe and a diadem of certainty. The 'eyes to the blind' and 'feet to the lame' are not other people's business alone, but the inner seeing and moving of your own I AM toward all voices you once ignored. To search out the cause of the poor is to inquire within the zone of your own heart, tracing needs to the root of your awareness until you name what has been neglected. The act of breaking the jaws of the wicked is the undoing of inner resistance—releasing judgment that binds energy—and drawing spoil from the teeth of fear and limitation. In this inner interpretation, righteousness becomes action born of consciousness, justice becomes your habitual state, and mercy becomes the natural consequence of your inner alignment with love. Trust that this is not a future reward, but the very attire of your present awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume I AM clothing you in righteousness; feel the robe at your shoulders, and envision your inner sight guiding and lifting the vulnerable.
