Biblical Context
Wisdom and understanding are hidden from ordinary sight and known only to God. He understands the way and knows its place.
Neville's Inner Vision
Whence then cometh wisdom? Not from the world of appearances but from the inner height of your consciousness, where the I AM sits as the measure and the path. The verse says wisdom is hid from mortal sight and known to God, yet God understands the way and knows the place. In my teaching, the ends of the earth you perceive are the farthest reaches of your own attention, and the whole heaven is the theatre of your inner life. To weigh the winds and measure the waters is to steady your thoughts and affections so that a clear direction can emerge from within. When He declared the rain and the thunder, the outer signs followed only after the inner decree was made in consciousness. So wisdom comes to you as you occupy the state that already knows the way: you are the I AM aware of the path. Seek not external proofs; rest in the conviction that divine understanding is your own awareness, and the world aligns to your inner declaration.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and declare, 'I now know the way of wisdom.' Feel the inner pull guiding your next step as if the path were already laid.
