Job 27:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage expresses a vow to keep absolute integrity and steadfast righteousness, regardless of external pressure. He asserts that his inner standard is non-negotiable as long as he lives.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that you are the I AM, the consciousness that never dies. Job's vow is not a denial of others but a declaration of the inner law by which you live. To say, 'till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me' is to affirm that your state of consciousness—your sense of rightness, purity, and consistency—remains unshaken amid every outward trial. When he adds, 'My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go,' he speaks of a fixed inner standard that cannot be traded for fleeting appearances. In Neville's terms, the world is the outward dream of your inner conviction; if you maintain this inner integrity, your experiences will reflect it. Therefore, refuse to justify the claims of others against your state; stand firm in the I AM that you are, and let your heart remain harmlessly aligned with truth. Practice this by turning attention away from external judgments and re-establishing your self-image as complete, complete, unassailable righteousness. By living from that inner state, your life will gradually register your unyielding standard as reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I am the I AM, and I remain unassailable in integrity.' Feel this state as real and let it color your day; if doubt arises, revise it by affirming your righteousness now.
