Clapping and Hissing: Inner Judgment

Job 27:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 27 in context

Scripture Focus

23Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
Job 27:23

Biblical Context

The verse depicts public derision that follows a person judged by others, and exile from his place. It points to the social process of being pushed out when the crowd condemns.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your outer world’s clapping or hissing is not a random event; it is the drama of your inner state projected outward. The “place” Job speaks of is a state of consciousness you have assumed. If you identify with lack, the mental crowd will hiss you from your imagined seat, confirming your belief in separation. Yet the crowd’s verdict is only a reflection of your own current self-conception. Repair begins by returning to the I AM, the indivisible awareness that never leaves its throne. Decide in imagination that you already occupy the place you desire; feel the belonging, see it, and dwell in the certainty that you are the author of your reality. The exile described is a temporary curtain that falls when you awaken to your creative power; judgments from others dissolve once you stand in the realized, loving state that you are always the I AM, whole and unshakeable. In this light, “being cast out” becomes simply a shift in consciousness, not a final verdict on your worth.

Practice This Now

When you notice inner clapping and hissing, close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'I AM in my rightful place now.' Feel and dwell in that reality until it becomes your starting point.
