Riches Lie Down, Awareness Rises
Job 27:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse pictures the death of a rich man; his wealth cannot keep him alive. At death he is not gathered with the living.
Neville's Inner Vision
The rich man is a state of consciousness that claims ownership of outcomes through external possessions. To lie down is to yield to the sleep of the senses, to become unconscious of your real I AM. When he 'opens his eyes' and is not, that is the moment of true awakening: the old identity dissolves, and the man is not to be found in the world of appearances. In Neville's terms, wealth is never outside you; it is the quality of your inner awareness. The 'not gathered' signals that in the ordinary dream you imagine you must be collected by others, measured, valued by external standards. But you, as awareness, are the gatherer, the one who gathers experiences into your inner state. The lesson: stop chasing outer riches; imagine and feel from the I AM the state of abundance; when you hold that inner fact, the dream of scarcity collapses and you awaken to your true riches within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and revise: 'I am the wealth that the I AM gathers.' Feel the reality of inner abundance now; dwell in that sensation until it feels like the only truth.
