You do not fight it; you revise it by assuming the truth of Spirit as your real I AM and by imagining the state you desire until it feels real. Providence is your inner law moving in harmony with your assumed truths; order emerges as you align your inner sight with a fresh image of yourself. When you acknowledge that you co-create through imagination, the crooked path becomes a doorway to greater alignment with the divine order within you.
