The Worm and the Light Within
Job 25:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses say that even the moon and stars are not pure in God's sight, and that man is a worm. It invites humility before the divine and suggests a contrast between appearances and the divine source.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the moon and stars as outward lights—shining, but not pure in themselves. The verse does not condemn you; it liberates by pointing to the true source of light: your I AM, your constant awareness. When you identify with the belief you are merely a worm, you align with impurity and limitation. But in this method, your world reflects your state of consciousness. If you assume the I AM—feeling that you are the purposeful, creative center of life—your surroundings begin to reflect that light. The heavens become images of inner consistency, not measures of your worth. The worms are simply beliefs about yourself that you can revise. Your true nature is the light by which all worlds are formed. By dwelling in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you dissolve the idea of impurity and awaken to the unity of all manifestation with your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, place your hand on your chest, and declare 'I AM' as the source of light in your life. Then revise the thought 'I am a worm' into 'I am that light now, creating this world.'
