Inner Justice for the Vulnerable

Job 24:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 24 in context

Scripture Focus

3They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
Job 24:3

Biblical Context

The verse exposes how the vulnerable are deprived—their donkey driven away and the widow's ox pledged—by those who would profit from them.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the language of this line, the fatherless and widow are not distant people but inner states you may overlook. The 'ass' and the 'ox' symbolize faculties you have pledged to life, and when you align with a consciousness of lack, others are driven from you—your own mercy and strength are pledged to fear-based motives. The criminals who act against the vulnerable mirror a part of you that believes there is not enough, that love must be guarded through domination. When you notice this in your inner theater, you can forgive the 'oppressors' as aspects of your limited self, and return those faculties to your higher I AM. The remedy is to assume a different state: the state of justice, mercy, and rightful abundance where no helper is taken from the helpless, because you recognize all as expressions of your own consciousness. Imagination is the hand that returns the stolen assets to their rightful owner within you; by feeling the truth of universal care, you disarm the memory of injury and restore harmony to your inner world.

Practice This Now

Impose the feeling of abundance now: assume the sentence, 'I AM the protector and provider of every part of myself.' Visualize the stolen ass and ox returned to the fatherless and widow within your psyche, and feel the relief and justice flowing through your inner life.
