Inner Power and Honest Speech
Job 24:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Power and prominence rise briefly and then fade; the speaker questions the truth of his words, implying that outward status is not the measure of truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
View Job 24:24-25 as an inner drama of consciousness. The exaltation of 'they' is a temporary state of mind, a belief that rises in your attention and then falls back to the ground of awareness. The line 'they are taken out of the way as all other' points to how every outward form is but a passing impression in your inner theater; the tops of the ears of corn speak of the apparent growth that is soon cut away, leaving the root of Being. Your real power is not in titles or circumstances but in the I AM that remains unchanged. When Job asks, 'And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar?' he is not bargaining with others but testing the consistency of his inner assumption. If you assume truth—feel it real—that inner speech remains priceless and unthwarted by appearances. The law of imagination works with you: you are the consciousness that speaks, and your world follows your inner stance. So align with the I AM, and the outward exaltations vanish into the light of permanent reality.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, assume the truth of your inner I AM and feel your words as eternally true, regardless of outward rise or fall. Then revise any doubt by repeating: 'Only the I AM speaks through me; my speech is true and final.'
