Job 24:24 Inner Harvest

Job 24:24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 24 in context

Scripture Focus

24They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
Job 24:24

Biblical Context

Exaltation among the wicked lasts only a little while before they are brought low, cut off like corn tops. The verse hints that outward status is not lasting and is subject to change.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of 'they' as states of consciousness that rise and fall within you. Exaltation for a little while is the ego's brief show, not a final decree. In the inner theater, you are the I AM, the unchanging awareness that witnesses every scene. The verse speaks of being brought low and cut off, which is merely the natural pruning of belief that identifies with form. As you accept this, you see that the outer elevation is never permanent; it is a temporary appearance in the dream of mind. The law is simple: what you invest your feeling in expands in time; what you withdraw your attention from dissolves. So you can revise the moment by returning to the sense of I AM, feeling the same awareness beneath every emotion. When you imagine yourself exalted, you can also imagine it fading, and smile inwardly at the cleverness of the dream. The real power is present, steady, and unaffected by the shifting scenes of the dream.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM as your constant awareness in the present moment. Revise a recent exaltation by imagining it dissolving, then feel the I AM holding steady.
