Inner Landmarks and Justice

Job 24:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 24 in context

Scripture Focus

2Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
3They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
Job 24:2-4

Biblical Context

Job 24:2–4 describes people who remove landmarks and oppress the vulnerable; it points to an inner state of injustice mirrored in outward behavior.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM within, Job 24:2–4 speaks not of distant cronies, but of a mind that erases inner boundaries and feeds a false abundance by taking from the needy within. The landmarks you imagine in life are not stones in the field but fixed states of consciousness: boundaries you honor that keep your life whole. When a part of you, the fatherless or widow within, is driven away, you are neglecting your own wholeness and inviting a want that you fear in the outer world. The condition of the poor of the earth reveals how you believe life is fed: if you turn away from them in your feeling, you cut off your own supply. The healing is to revise yourself into a state where justice, protection, and care are the law you live by. See yourself as the landlord of your inner country, keeping the landmarks intact, feeding every aspect with love, and refusing to permit fear to dispossess the vulnerable within. In this inner order, the outer world will reflect the restoration of truth and equity you have assumed.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and claim the state of inner guardianship—boundaries held, the vulnerable within fed by your awareness; when fear arises, revise to 'I AM the source of protection and justice'.
