Rebel Against the Light Within

Job 24:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 24 in context

Scripture Focus

13They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
Job 24:13

Biblical Context

They resist the light of truth, remaining ignorant of its ways and not following its paths. This rebellion is a state of consciousness that closes out illumination.

Neville's Inner Vision

Rebelling against the light is not a rebellion against others; it is a resistance of your own consciousness to acknowledge the light that is always within. The light is awareness; to rebel is to pretend you are separate from Truth, to cling to thoughts that seem to cast you into darkness. Yet the light never abandons you; it simply awaits your shift of state. When you identify with an old self that denies its guidance, you wander in imagined darkness and refuse the paths of understanding. The truth is that the paths are within your own I AM, and revelation comes as a change of consciousness. Your work is to assume the end you desire: that you are already abiding in the light, that you know the ways thereof, and that your choices spring from discernment. By imagining yourself as the light that guides every step, you reverse the rebellious posture and invite clarity. The instant you rest in the I AM, you cease wandering and walk the paths that have always been yours.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already in the light and feel it real. Close your eyes, breathe I AM, and imagine the path you walk as light guiding every choice.
