Strength Within the Inner Court

Job 23:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 23 in context

Scripture Focus

5I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
6Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
7There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
Job 23:5-7

Biblical Context

Job seeks to know the words God would answer with and what He would say. He imagines true power not as external authority, but as inner strength that delivers him from the judge within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here in Job 23:5–7, we are shown the inner courtroom of consciousness. The questions are not about distant tribunals but about the I AM that you are, the very awareness that would answer you if you stood still and listened. God’s great power is not something outside you to battle with; it is the power you activate by an assumed state of being. When Job says He would put strength in me, he points to a state in which your attention, faith, and discernment are intensified by the I AM. The righteous might dispute with Him refers to your inner conscience—the upright, just, aligned portion of you—rising to meet the idea of 'God' in every thought. In that meeting, the 'judge'—the old sense of limitation—loses its grip, and you are delivered forever from that judge because you have affirmed a new state. Your present awareness becomes the tribunal, and your ruling state is love, truth, and power.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state: 'I AM the one who is answered; the I AM speaks within me now.' Feel the strength filling you as if the answer were already spoken, and dwell in that certainty for a minute.
