Job 23:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 23 in context

Scripture Focus

10But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Job 23:10-12

Biblical Context

God knows the path I take, and through trials I shall emerge refined as gold. I have kept to His ways and esteemed the words of His mouth above all.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your true self is the I AM. The 'way I take' is the track your inner awareness chooses when you imagine and then accept it as real. When the trial arises, know that the knowing God speaks within you is not against you but refining you, turning your consciousness into gold—steadfast, clear, obedient. 'My foot hath held His steps' becomes: you have aligned every action with the inner lead you have already affirmed in imagination; you do not depart from the covenant of the lips of your own soul. You esteem the words of the divine mouth more than any physical nourishment, for nourishment is the conviction that you are already in harmony with the divine plan. The trial is simply the heat that makes the inner state visible as outer result. Hold to the feeling of being already there, and you will emerge renewed, certain, and more real to yourself than the old doubt. The path is not out there; it is the consciousness you have chosen and sustained.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and declare: I AM the way; I have been tried and I come forth as gold. Revise any doubt by affirming: I have already aligned with the divine plan.
