Biblical Context
Some declare, 'Depart from us,' and wonder what the Almighty can do for them. Yet their houses are filled with good things, while the righteous see this and the innocent laugh at their folly.
Neville's Inner Vision
Read as Neville would, this passage is not about people elsewhere, but about states of consciousness. The cry 'Depart from us' is the very instinct of a mind that imagines itself separate from the I AM. When you identify with separation, wealth and good fortune appear to orbit others while your own inner counsel seems distant. The verse adds: 'Yet he filled their houses with good things'—not as a reward meted out by a distant deity, but as the inner logic of a mind aligned with the One I AM. The 'counsel of the wicked' is the habitual thought of calculating, fearing, and plotting, and in your true state that counsel remains far from you because you no longer entertain it as real. The righteous see it, and are glad; the innocent laugh them to scorn. This is the inner auditor recognizing the illusion, and laughing at the vanity of separation. The entire scene invites you to turn inward: to let the I AM govern your sense of wealth, guidance, and providence. See that prosperity is the natural expression of a mind aligned with God, not an external fortune to be earned.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: 'I and the I AM are one; God is providing for me now.' Revise any thought of lack, and feel the reality of abundance in your body and surroundings for 60 seconds.
