Job 2:6 Inner Test
Job 2:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God permits a testing moment for Job, placing him in Satan's hand, while commanding that Job's life be spared.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the biblical line, 'the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life' points to the drama of your own consciousness. The testing is not punishment but a dramatic exposure of your current assumption about life. You are the I AM, the awareness that cannot be truly harmed; the 'hand' of testing is the stage where belief can be rearranged. When you welcome the impression of limitation, you still possess the lifeline of awareness that is to be kept alive. The divine boundary is your opportunity to revise: maintain the sense 'I am alive' through steadfast mental assent, even as conditions seem to threaten. The outer scene becomes a mirror reflecting the inner shift you must make: identify with the everlasting I AM, and life will remain intact regardless of appearances. The life you fear losing is the life of your consciousness, and you hold the power to restore it by a quiet, persistent assumption.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: I AM that preserves life. Feel the life-force as a protective current around me, and softly declare, 'I live now, regardless of appearances.'
