Job 2:12

Biblical Context

Job 2:12 shows mourners arriving in distress, outward signs of inner upheaval that point to humility and surrender.

Neville's Inner Vision

When you face a scene of apparent loss, know it as a state of consciousness. The ones who appear afar off and do not recognize him are the parts of your mind that forget your I AM. Their tears, their rending of the mantle, and the dust cast toward heaven are symbolic acts of releasing old identifications and returning to awareness. The outer drama is the effect of an inner assumption; revision is your leverage. Do not plead with the world to change; instead, assume the I AM here now as your permanent reality. The distant sight is not the truth of you but a habit of lack. In present faith, identify with the undivided self that never departs; your 'friends' are your own thought-forms bowing to your new conviction. When you rest in I AM, the garments are no longer torn, the dust settles, and your true image emerges from within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling of 'I AM here, now' as your fixed reality. See the old scene dissolve as you revise inwardly and let the inner vision govern the outer.
