Biblical Context
In the face of affliction, Job proclaims that his Redeemer lives and will stand again. He looks beyond present suffering to a future awakening when he will behold God in the flesh.
Neville's Inner Vision
I do not separate flesh from God; I am the living consciousness that sees through the body. When Job says 'my Redeemer liveth,' he names the eternal I AM that never dies, standing now in the 'latter day' of my awareness. The worms of doubt and the ravages of time are but appearances in the dream of separation; yet in this moment I affirm that 'in my flesh I shall see God' means I recognize God as the very sensation and sight of this body now. The inner sight, the inner witness, and the outer form are one; the day will come when I behold God with my own eyes because my inner vision awakens to its invincible presence. The 'reins' within refer to the seat of awareness—where I feel my 'I AM' as Life itself; as this shifts, the world conforms. I am not waiting for a future rescue; I am the living assurance of resurrection here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state: I am the Redeemer living in this body now. Feel the inner vision as if you are beholding God with your own eyes.
