Job 18:19 Inner Loss Return
Job 18:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse depicts the erasure of a wicked man's descendants and kin within his people, signaling isolation and the end of lineage in his dwelling.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that Job 18:19 speaks of a man who shall have no son or nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. Yet in the Neville telling, this is not a census of outward history but a revelation of inner state. The I AM, the only presence, names what is real. When a mind clings to the story of lack—when thoughts dwell on isolation and exile—consciousness shrinks and its 'house' feels empty. The outer life mirrors that inward contraction. The remedy is to reverse the premise: assume the I AM as the all-being, the presence that fills every room and kindred in your inner world. If you practice imagining life rather than absence, the sense of no heir, no relative, disappears. The “wicked” are those who dwell in fear and separation; their external scene is but a reflection. By choosing a state of fullness—seeing kinship, nourishment, and continuity in the self—you awaken the inner house to its natural abundance. What was written as exile becomes the awareness of the eternal community within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, revise the scene by declaring, 'In this I AM there is kin and life now.' Breathe into that sense of wholeness for a minute and let the feeling-realization settle.
