Light to Darkness Within
Job 18:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It describes exile from light and community, a removal from the world. The focus is on consequences of judgment and accountability.
Neville's Inner Vision
What you call Job’s 'exile' is the inner movement of consciousness. Light stands for awareness, truth, and your sense of belonging in the whole; darkness is a mistaken assumption that you are cut off from that light. When the mind yields to fear, condemnation, or the belief that you have been cast out, you shrink from the world and experience the world as hostile. But this is not punishment imposed from without; it is a picture your inner I AM has drawn to show you where your attention has been misplaced. Return, then, to the awareness that you are I AM, that light is your natural state, and that the self can never be expelled from itself. The 'exile' ends the moment you refuse the old claim and claim the new: that you are always in the light, always part of the world as a manifestation of the One.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in the light and feel it real. Repeat 'I am the light now' until the sensation expands through your body and thoughts.
