Inward Wisdom, Empty Talk

Job 15:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 15 in context

Scripture Focus

1Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
2Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
3Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
Job 15:1-3

Biblical Context

Eliphaz rebukes the notion of 'wise' talk that lacks substance, labeling it vain and unprofitable. He suggests that such speech yields no nourishment or benefit.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner theatre, Eliphaz’s accusation becomes a mirror for your own mind. If your inner chatter pretends to wisdom but is only east wind—air blown from the ego to satisfy vanity—you are not aligned with true discernment. Real wisdom is the I AM- aware stillness that creates from consciousness, not a parade of clever theories. When your words slip into vanity, they reveal a belief that you are separate from the source of all nourishment. Return to the awareness that you are the I AM, the living principle through which reality unfolds. Let your inner speech be purposeful, nourishing, and true to this unity. Recognize that true prophecy and discernment come from alignment with the inner state, not from external boasting. Your present circumstances are the fruit of your inner declarations; choose now to speak from the certainty of the I AM and observe how the day reorganizes itself around that truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In the next moment, assume the I AM as the source of all wisdom and revise any inner chatter that sounds vain. Speak inwardly the conviction, 'I am wisdom within; I speak only what nourishes and profits,' and feel that reality register as real.
