Impartial Heart in Job 13:9-10

Job 13:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 13 in context

Scripture Focus

9Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
10He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
Job 13:9-10

Biblical Context

God searches the heart for hidden bias; secretly favoring some or mocking others invites divine reproach. The message is to discard partiality and treat all with equal regard.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider that the verse does not threaten a distant deity, but the I AM within—the you that is awake to itself. When you ask, am I willing to be examined by the I AM, and to own every subtle bias I harbor? The search here is a revelation of the inner state. Partiality is not merely an action toward others; it is a misalignment of your entire consciousness. When you secretly accept some as closer and others as lesser, you affirm a divided mind. The I AM within you perceives all as one, and so you must revise your inner stance until no one is afforded a privilege you deny to another. If you pretend to love all while nursing a private preference, you are rehearsing a false reality. Instead, acknowledge that you are already the very state of impartial awareness. In this recognition, judgment dissolves and discernment arises—without betrayal or condemnation—because you are not two; you are the I AM, freely choosing harmony. Thus your world follows your inner decree: see all as present, whole, and worthy of respect.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly and assume the feeling of unconditional impartiality toward one person you secretly judged; declare I am the I AM, and I see all without bias. Stay with that feeling until it settles and notice any shift in your thoughts about that person.
