Presence Without Fear Within

Job 13:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 13 in context

Scripture Focus

20Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
21Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Job 13:20-21

Biblical Context

Job pleads that God should not hide from him and should not overwhelm him with dread. He seeks the steady presence of the divine within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the voice of Job is the I AM seeking to remain conscious of the divine presence while fear does its best to pull you into hiding. You are not asking a faraway God; you are inviting the very state of awareness that never leaves you. When you feel the impulse to hide, you are simply forgetting that you are the I AM, and when dread rises you are letting a false sense of separation govern you. The remedy is to revise the assumption: you are always in the presence of your own I AM, and the hand of God is the touch of awareness that keeps you awake to life. As you assume I AM within and let that oneness be your whole field, fear loses its grip and you walk in covenant loyalty—always seen, never abandoned. The moment you identify with the I AM, you and God are one continuous act of awareness, and the verse becomes your inner vow to stay awake to the divine presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place your hand on your chest, and revise the verse in present-tense: I am not hidden from God; I am the I AM. Feel the divine presence now, letting fear dissolve as you embody the truth.
