Inner Deliverance Through Integrity

Job 11:12-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 11 in context

Scripture Focus

12For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.
13If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
14If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
15For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
16Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
17And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
18And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
19Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
20But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
Job 11:12-20

Biblical Context

Job 11:12-20 contrasts vain wisdom with inner cleansing; when the heart is prepared and wickedness cast out, confidence returns. Misery fades and a secure, radiant future unfolds.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, the kingdom you seek is never outside you; it is the state you inhabit in consciousness. 'Vain man would be wise' is the lure of ego; true wisdom arises when you prepare your heart and stretch your hands toward the I AM within. Put away the old thought-forms of iniquity, let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles of mind, and you shall lift up your face 'without spot'—a steadfast, fearless awareness. Forget misery as a memory that dissolves in the flood of present awareness, and allow your inner light to shine brighter than you have imagined. Your age shall be clearer, your vitality like dawn; you will feel secure because there is hope. You will dig around your life and rest in spiritual safety, lie down and be unafraid, and many will seek you as your inner peace testifies to them. The eyes of the wicked fade in the glow of your realized I AM, for their hope is the ghost they chase. This is not outward deliverance; it is your transformed consciousness becoming form.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of an unblemished, safe I AM consciousness. Repeat inwardly: 'There is hope; I rest in safety; all fear dissolves into the waters that pass away.'
