Wild Colt of Vanity Within

I am not speaking of a distant fact but of a state of conscious being. In Job 11:12, vanity would have us think ourselves wise while our mind runs wild, like a wild colt whose reins are yet unchosen. The truth is that God, the I AM, is the governing awareness behind all appearances; the mind can imagine itself into a new state of discernment by assuming it already possesses wisdom under divine direction. When you catch yourself admiring a self-deceptive cleverness, acknowledge that you are aware of the belief, then revise it: I am the calm, wise governor of my thoughts; I ride the inner horse, not the other way around. Feed the impulse with a new image—one of steady, loving discernment guided by the I AM. Persist in feeling the revised state as real, and the wild colt becomes a controlled, purposeful creature moving toward truth.
