11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:11

Biblical Context

Job 1:11 presents an outward test—from the adversary—to touch what a man has, inviting a decision of loyalty. The verse frames the struggle as a matter of inner consciousness under pressure.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the Neville Goddard perspective, that 'hand' touching Job's possessions is not a thunderbolt from without but a symbol of inner disturbance stirred by limiting beliefs. Satan’s question becomes: will the mind cling to outer conditions as proof of spiritual security, or will it awaken to the reality that the I AM—your true consciousness—alone furnishes all you perceive? In this sense, Job’s wealth and safety are not at risk but projected as the current state of awareness. When the outer show changes, the response of the I AM is to revise the inner assumption: 'I am the awareness that possesses the things I desire; nothing can threaten my essential well-being unless I let it.' Therefore, the trial is a cue to dwell in faith, not fear, to imagine from the end rather than react to appearances. By choosing the feeling of abundance and invulnerability here and now, you heal the perceived breach and restore harmony in your world. The test culminates not in curses or losses but in the realization that you, as I AM, are the source.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the end you desire as already real—feel it as your present consciousness. If fear arises about loss, revise the thought by silently affirming 'I AM the source of all I possess' until the feeling of security is real.
