Inner Truth Over Deception
Jeremiah 9:3-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage warns that people lie, turn from truth, and dwell amid deceit, inviting God’s judgment on a nation that forgets Him. It then cautions distrust of neighborly assurances and persistent deceit.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jeremiah presents deceit as a climate within a people, yet the Goddard lens sees it as a condition of consciousness. This is not only about others but about you, the awakener who declares I AM. When tongues bend toward lies, you are signaling a mind that has forgotten its divine reference and become adept at manipulating appearances instead of knowing truth. The line they know not me reveals a moment when awareness shrinks to persona and fear, not to the one universal I AM. The image of speech as an arrow shows thoughts projected outward, a habit of deceit that covers the inner truth. The melt and try theme is the inner furnace by which a state is refined; deceit is invited to pass away as you step into a stronger sense of unity with God. The remedy is to return to the I AM, to assume the truth that you and every neighbor are one in consciousness. Practice turning every thought and word toward truth, blessing those who seem to oppose you, and feel the inner oneness dissolving all illusion of division.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise your inner scene: affirm I AM the truth in you and all. Picture deceit melting into understanding as you bless every neighbor with the unity of God.
