The Inner Window of Death

Jeremiah 9:21-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 9 in context

Scripture Focus

21For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.
22Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
Jeremiah 9:21-22

Biblical Context

Death is described as invading homes and streets, threatening the young and the vulnerable. Corpses are left scattered, uncollected, signaling a scene of decay.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through Neville’s lens, the images are not about distant history but states of consciousness. Death coming up into our windows and palaces means fear and limitation have taken up residence in the mind. The carcases lying in the field are stale, unused thoughts that no longer serve the living I AM. When you seek to gather them, you concede authority to what you fear; when you refuse that gathering and re-center in the I AM, the inner kingdom returns. The LORD’s command becomes your own inner assurance: you are the author of your reality. By assuming the wish fulfilled—vitality, order, life filling every room—you dissolve decay as you would mist in morning light. The practice is not obedience to external doom but a revision of the inner scene until it matches your true nature as consciousness. So your practice is to dwell as the I AM, gently but firmly: see the windows and palaces bright with life, and let fear fall away into the ground of your abiding presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the inner windows brightening with light; revise the scene by declaring, 'I AM vitality now,' and allow that feeling to fill every room.
