Inner Timing, Inner Law

Jeremiah 8:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 8 in context

Scripture Focus

7Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
Jeremiah 8:7-8

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 8:7-8 contrasts nature's sure timing with people who boast in wisdom and rely on the written law.

Neville's Inner Vision

Every creature keeps time because time is the rhythm of your consciousness. When the stork in the heaven knows its appointed times, it proclaims that inner season and outer season are one; yet my people fail to discern the judgment of the LORD because they look outside themselves for law rather than within. To say you are wise and the law of the LORD is with you is to talk from memory, not from experience. The pen of the scribes is not at fault; the problem is that you have not impressed the living word upon your own heart. The true law is not parchment but the imperative of your I AM, the inner judgment that arises as you align thought with divine order. When you revise your inner state to know your timing and let your actions arise from that knowing, the outer world rearranges to confirm it. The judgment you seek is the natural result of an awakened consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume you already know the exact moment to act; feel the inner timing as real and declare, 'I AM aware of my appointed time.'
