Biblical Context
Jeremiah 7:4 warns against trusting the phrase 'the temple of the LORD' as if it guarantees God’s presence; true worship is inner fidelity, not outward rites.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the simple line, Trust ye not in lying words, you are being shown that a word, a building, or a ritual cannot conjure the living Presence. The temple is not a stone; it is the I AM that you are, the continuous awareness in which all pictures move. The people spoke of a temple as if the external structure could keep God near, but the Father within answers only to the state of your consciousness. If you wake in the morning and still believe the temple guarantees safety, you are clinging to a lie you have rehearsed. Now choose to revise: declare that the kingdom of God is presence within, and that your sense of self is the inner temple where all activity originates. In that assumption, all outward symbols fade into the background, and you live as the immovable consciousness that perceives. Imagination creates reality; therefore, imagine and feel the truth of your indwelling God, and your life will reflect that truth rather than the worn-out slogan of a building.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the belief: 'The temple of the LORD is within me now.' Feel the presence as a constant light in your chest, and live from that awareness today.
