Jeremiah 7:13

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 7:13 records God's complaint that the people did many works and heard God's word not; He called and they did not answer.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the stillness of your awareness, the Jeremiah passage becomes a map of inner life. 'The LORD' is the I AM within, and 'these works' are the outward rites of mind-identified action. When you rise early and speak but do not hear, you are disowning the inner invitation of consciousness. The true call is not a distant decree but your own inner voice moving in imagination toward alignment. Ignoring that voice leaves you in form without essence, performing deeds while your awareness remains unspoken. The remedy is simple: assume that you hear the call now, and that you answer with a decisive, inward yes. Revise the sense of self from a person who performs to a consciousness that acknowledges and embraces the invitation. See the inner word as alive, and your life as the outward expression of that inward hearing. Your figures of fear or lack fade as you cultivate a living communion with the I AM, here, now.

Practice This Now

Pause, close your eyes, and silently affirm: I hear the inner call now and I answer. Let a quiet sense of reception fill you and imagine the I AM guiding you in the next moment.
