Jeremiah 6:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 6 in context

Scripture Focus

21Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
Jeremiah 6:21

Biblical Context

The LORD declares that stumbling blocks will be set before the people, and families and neighbors will suffer as a consequence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Jeremiah's stumbling blocks are not external punishments but the blocks the I AM encounters when it forgets itself. The 'people' are states of consciousness; the 'fathers and the sons' symbolize old and new you contending within imagination. The 'neighbor and his friend' mirror your inner alignments and relationships. When you believe you are blocked or at risk, you project a world of limitation, and judgment and suffering appear as the weather of your inner state. To awaken, release the old identification; do not seek force outside, but revise from the I AM’s vantage point. You can choose a different end and dwell there in feeling, until the scene rearranges itself. The verse invites you to realize your power to redraw conditions by an inner assumption, and to trust that your awareness is the sole cause of effects in your life. The blocks are invitation to shift into a greater sense of self, where unity replaces fear.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, I am the I AM, free now from all stumbling blocks. Then imagine the old fathers and sons dissolving into light as you stand in a new, peaceful state.
