Inner Sanctuary Reclaimed

Jeremiah 51:51 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 51 in context

Scripture Focus

51We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD's house.
Jeremiah 51:51

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 51:51 speaks of confusion and shame because outsiders intrude into the sacred spaces of the Lord's house.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the aware I AM, the 'we' in this verse is your mind listening to outer voices rather than the quietness of God within. When strangers enter the sanctuaries of the LORD's house, they are not stomping through walls; they are intrusions of fear, doubt, and judgment that you have allowed to occupy your awareness. Confounded and covered with shame, you have handed over the chapel to conditions and people outside consciousness. But the kingdom is within, and the sanctuary you fear is only a state of consciousness that can be revised. The moment you refuse to identify with that reproach, the walls rise again, and the inner temple shines with the light of I AM. Reproof loses its force when seen as a thought pattern, not a fact of being. So turn from the crowd and return to your central identity as consciousness aware of itself. In this light, the 'strangers' melt into echoes, and the Lord's house remains unharmed by appearances.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close eyes, breathe, and silently assert: I AM the sanctity of this temple; no stranger can enter my awareness. Then visualize a bright temple interior and feel the calm of a pure inner space.
