Biblical Context
Jeremiah 51:46 counsels not to let fearful rumors shake the heart, for cycles of rumor and violence unfold under rulers.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through Neville's lens, the land and its rumors are but states of consciousness. Fearful whispers do not travel the body of the world; they travel your interior weather. The I AM within you is the unalterable governor, not a victim of 'rulers' or of 'rumor.' When you imagine fear as a real, external enemy you empower it; when you revise, you refuse to identify with the thought and return to the perception of an unseen, eternal peace. The line about one rumor coming in one year and another after that is a cue that time is a mental pattern, not a calendar. You can interrupt the pattern by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled: that peace, not violence or confusion, rules your inner space. As you dwell in the truth that you are awareness, you witness events—outward events—reflecting your inner state, and you can choose a new response now. The kingdom of God is not a distant event but an inner environment you cultivate by habit of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare I AM the unmoved observer; rumors cannot move me. Breathe in the feeling of peace and exhale fear, rehearsing the inner state you wish to inhabit.
