Inner Walls of Awareness

Jeremiah 5:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 5 in context

Scripture Focus

10Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.
11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 5:10-11

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 5:10–11 declares that the city's defenses must be dismantled, but not wiped out entirely, because they belong to a false order. It accuses Israel and Judah of treachery against the LORD, highlighting judgment and the call to covenant fidelity.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the language of the I AM, the walls and battlements are not external stones but beliefs you have built in fear, pride, or separation from your true divine nature. The Lord’s command to ascend those walls and remove the battlements is a healing revision for your inner state, not a punishment. When you feel betrayed by life, you’re clinging to defenses that pretend safety while keeping you from the I AM within. The inner city’s inhabitants—your judgments, resentments, and separations—have betrayed the divine trust, but the I AM is the true proprietor of every thought. To be judged is to awaken; to awaken is to return to covenant loyalty with your own consciousness. The prophecy and promise lie in recognizing that you are already dwelling in the promised land of God-awareness when you disassemble non-divine defenses and re-align with the I AM.

Practice This Now

Visualize standing on your inner walls and remove a battlement of fear or doubt. Declare 'I AM that I AM' within, and feel the shift as the landscape of your mind becomes calm and clear.
