Biblical Context
Jeremiah 49:5 reveals a coming fear that drives people apart and sets the wanderer adrift. It presents exile as an outcome that no one gathers them from.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through Neville’s prism, fear is not an external weapon but a movement of your inner state. When the verse says, 'I will bring a fear upon thee,' it signals that you have invited a splitting tone into awareness. The 'those about thee' are the inner voices and images you allow to orbit your mind, creating distance and drive. Exile then becomes an inner condition—your sense of separation from your own I AM or from the divine presence you truly are. The remedy is not to battle the world but to revise your state: assume that you are already gathered by the one consciousness that you call God, that you are never truly banished. By returning to the feeling of being enveloped and safe in that divine I AM, the fear dissolves and the wanderer is again tended by your inner law. As your consciousness rests in unity, the outward scene shifts to reflect a homecoming rather than exile.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes. Assume you are gathered by the I AM and feel a warm, protective presence around you; repeat 'I am held by divine presence now' until it feels real.
