The Inner Spoiler's Sweep
Jeremiah 48:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 48 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage warns that trusting in one's own works and treasures leads to capture; judgment comes to all cities, destroying the land, exactly as the LORD spoke.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner atmosphere is the land Jeremiah names. When you lean on outer works and treasures, you are pronouncing your faith in a power apart from the I AM, and life answers in kind by 'spoiling' the outward protections you lean upon. Chemosh is not a foreign god but a symbol of habit and reliance that seemself keeps you secure on the small shelf of the ego. The 'cities' are your states of consciousness; when the inner trust is placed in form, every city receives the universal approach of change. The 'spoiler' is the inner movement that reveals the truth: the outer world is but a reflection of your inner alignment. If you refuse sovereignty, the land you call home vanishes, as the plain and valley perish under the LORD's word. Yet this is not punishment but invitation: awaken to the I AM, revise your state, and watch the appearances reform within. The outer world then rearranges to mirror this inner alignment. No external overthrow is happening to you; you are witnessing the outer image collapse to reveal your true state. So practice: close your eyes, feel yourself as the I AM, and imagine a life where external conditions answer to that inner reality. In that feeling-real act, you move from exile to return, from judgment to acceptance, from fear to love.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare I AM as your sole power; revise any belief that outside riches govern you, and feel the inner state shift as the outer world reflects your new consciousness.
