The Inner Fire From Heshbon
Jeremiah 48:45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse pictures fear-driven retreat under a shadow; yet an inward fire is promised to consume the sources of upheaval.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the cry of the text is not about armies but about states of consciousness. Those who fled stood in the shadow of Heshbon, yet the true power comes as a fire from within—out of Heshbon and from the midst of Sihon. When I realize that the ‘fire’ is already resident in I AM, I ignite it by attention and imagination. The fiery prophet within devours Moab—the stubborn images of lack, delay, and resistance—and it crowns only the tumult of the ego. As the inner flame grows, external conditions lose their grip, and the crown of hurried, headlong striving is blown away. This is not a verdict against others but a conversion of self-state: fear dissolves when I acknowledge that I am the creator; the boundary between event and consciousness is dissolving. The Kingdom of God is a quiet, steadfast feeling I can dwell in here and now, by recognizing that the world obeys the insistence of I AM when I stand in its light and allow the imagination to declare, 'It is so.'
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and recall a current fear. Assume you are already free; imagine a fire arising from your inner Heshbon, consuming the fear and leaving you steadied in I AM.
