Read Jeremiah 48 in context

Scripture Focus

29We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
Jeremiah 48:29

Biblical Context

The verse voices Moab's pride and self-importance, highlighting a heart swollen with loftiness. It points to an inner posture that must be renounced.

Neville's Inner Vision

To hear the pride of Moab is to hear the voice of a mind enthroned by its own image. In this scripture, the nation stands as a symbol of a state of consciousness swollen with loftiness and the need to prove itself in the eyes of others. The pride, the haughtiness of heart, is not a mere outward trait but an inner posture that distances you from the I AM. When you identify with that image—success, rank, name—you become subject to fear of loss and defense, and life grows rigid. The prophecy points to accountability: you judge yourself by your own magnified picture. Yet you can choose another inner movement: imagine yourself as the I AM, already true, already complete, and rest in that awareness. In that stillness pride cannot take root, for you no longer need to prove. Revision is a nightly or momentary correction: replace the thought I am this prideful self with I AM the ever-present witness. Feel it real, and the outer scene reorders itself in alignment with the inner truth.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and repeat I AM the I AM, claiming the present consciousness as your true self. Then revise the prideful image by affirming you are complete in awareness, and feel that reality now.
