Scripture Focus

1Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
Jeremiah 48:1

Biblical Context

The passage pronounces doom on Moab, marking Nebo spoiled and its cities confounded. It signals a collapse of outward power and fixed identity within consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this reading, Moab represents a restless state of consciousness clinging to outward strength. Nebo is the mind’s claim to prophetic authority, while Kiriathaim and Misgab are the twin towers of pride and self-importance we shelter in secret. The LORD speaking is the I AM within, inviting you to question the reliability of these attachments. The woe is not a punishment from without but a cue that the inner picture cannot endure under the illumination of awakened awareness. When you relinquish dependence on externals for security, those inner fortresses crumble and you rest in the sovereignty of I AM. This judgment exposes the illusion of power apart from consciousness and, in the same breath, reveals the promise: by revising your inner state, you align with a reality that cannot be spoiled. The verse thus offers a practical invitation to release the old structure and ascend to the throne of awareness within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state: I AM is the only power in me; Nebo’s pride and its fortresses dissolve in this awareness. Feel the release as the inner cities collapse and peace settles.
