I Am With Thee, Inner Return

Jeremiah 46:28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 46 in context

Scripture Focus

28Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
Jeremiah 46:28

Biblical Context

God tells Jacob not to fear; He is with him. The exile and judgments will not destroy Jacob; he will be corrected in measure, not left unpunished.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner reading, fear not reveals that the true adversary is not a nation but the divided sense of self you hold in moments of fear. Jacob here is your inner self—the I AM that never leaves you. The I am with thee is the constant field of awareness in which every thought, every sensation, and every circumstance are transient shapes. The promise to make an end of the nations whither I have driven thee speaks to the dissolving of every belief that you are separated from your God-actuality by outer conditions. Yet the text also says I will not leave thee wholly unpunished; discipline here means alignment—correction in measure—so that you refine thoughts without annihilating the old self. Thus, the shift is not fear-driven obedience but a renewal of consciousness in which you accept your oneness with the I AM. When you dwell in this state, fear loses its grip, decisions become clear, and what seemed as exile becomes a return home in imagination. You awaken to a life that is already finished in the mind of God and underway in your own awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the I AM with you now. Say quietly, 'I am with thee; any sense of exile ends in me, and correction comes gently as restored consciousness.'
