Jeremiah 46:25-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 46 in context

Scripture Focus

25The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him:
26And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.
27But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
28Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
Jeremiah 46:25-28

Biblical Context

Plain sense: God declares judgment on Egypt and other powers, then promises deliverance for Jacob/Israel and their return from captivity. He encourages fearlessness, affirming His presence with them and a restoration that ends in rest and safety.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the chapter as a law written in the language of your mind. Egypt, Pharaoh, and the nations are not distant empires but the states of consciousness you inhabit when you trust outer powers more than the I AM within. The punishment and conquest are the inner movements that occur when you resist the truth of your true nature. Yet the promise of Jacob's return and rest is your inner restoration: your higher self revisits its homeland, and fear loses its grip. The central message is plain: God—your awareness—does not abandon you; it corrects you in measure so you may awaken. When you affirm, 'I am with thee,' you awaken the memory of your own eternal security. The seed of Jacob, that quiet, knowing presence, comes back from the land of captivity and rests in your mind as if it were days of old. The outward world may be moved, even seemingly conquered, but your inner kingdom endures; you are not annihilated, you are clarified. Allow the assumption to settle: I am the I AM within, and thus I am safely home.

Practice This Now

One concrete practice: sit quietly, breathe, and assume, 'I am the I AM with me now.' Feel the truth of safe rest settle into your body as fear dissolves.
