Biblical Context
Jeremiah 43:9–10 describes a symbolic act: hide great stones in clay near Tahpanhes and proclaim that Nebuchadrezzar will set his throne on them, signaling divine judgment and future authority.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this word-picture, the men of Judah are your present habits; Tahpanhes is the gate of your outer life; the stones are the unwavering convictions you tuck away in the clay of attention. Nebuchadrezzar’s throne is not a person but the ordered life your inner decree will establish when you choose to plant it upon those hidden stones. The act is to speak, quietly and firmly, "Thus says the LORD of hosts," and to believe that the throne of your next phase will rest on the stones you have deliberately placed in your inner soil. The exile and return you glimpse are the rhythms of consciousness: a seeming loss in form, a return as the inner order takes root. Providence is your inner I AM guiding your imagination toward that future which is already completed in your consciousness. When you practice this, you see that the outer world follows the inner arrangement you have set in your mind.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: sit quietly, picture placing a stone of conviction in the clay of your attention at Tahpanhes' gate, then declare, "Thus saith the LORD," and feel the throne rising under you as your life aligns.
